In early 2007 the managing director of the Solar Energy Company Ltd (KSEC) requested Marc, former Business Management Expert (BME) of the EuropeAid project "Solar Energy for the outre islands" and the person who had designed the previous two versions of RescoManager, to assit in improving the software.
With the project open again, Marc realised that it was an opportunity to accomplish his original dream, this is: "to make of RescoManager a standard for the industry, and programme it in open source, so that any company or individual could contribute and keep on improving it."
